MOUNT OF OLIVES

The MOUNT OF OLIVES is a Christians holy place and a Jewish holy site. According to the Old Testament, King David ran away from Mount of Olives when his son rebelled. For Jewish believers, on the Judgment Day, the Messiah will descend on the Mount of Olives and enter Jerusalem through the Golden Gate.

Christians believe that on the Palm Sunday Jesus went from the Mount of Olives to Jerusalem. Also according to the New Testament, Jesus was arrested on the Mount of Olives.
