WESTERN WALL or THE BURAQ WALL

The WAILING WALL, or the Western Wall, is the last remaining wall of the Temple Mount where once the ancient Solomon’s Temple of Jerusalem and the Holy of Holies – the Gate to Haven stood.

The Wailing Wall is one of the holy sites in IsraelSaveThere are separate prayer sites for men and women on the Western Wall. The left side of the wall is reserved for men’s praying and the right side for women’s. According to the tradition, prayers put their prayers notes in the cracks between the rocks.

For Muslims, the Western Wall is the Buraq Wall. It is the site where Prophet Muhammad tied his horse Buraq on the Night Journey to Jerusalem.
