MARY’S WELL

The Mary’s Well is actually a public fountain and is believed to be an ancient well fed by Mary’s Spring. The Mary’s Well is close to the Orthodox Church of St Gabriel with an altar under which Mary’s Spring flows.

Orthodox Christians believe that Angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary at the place where today is St Gabriel Church, not the Basilica of Annunciation.
