TOMB OF RABBI SHIMON BAR YOCHAI

The Tomb of Rabbi Shimon is the burial site of the author of the Book of Zohar (the main textbook of Kabbalah) and a Jewish place of worship. The tomb is on Mount Meron located 6 miles (10 km) from Safed. Rabbi Shimon lived in the 2nd century and taught mystical Kabbalah which covers the esoteric dimension and the deepest secrets of Torah.
